Someone more, someone less, but absolutely everyone falls out their hair. The reason for this lies in the fact that hair also has its own lifespan, so their loss in small quantities is a completely natural process.
Every day, a person loses up to 100 hair, and this is quite normal. Their life cycle is conditionally divided into three periods: the phase of active growth (anagen), which lasts from two to six years; a resting phase (catagen), lasting only 15-20 days, and a dying phase (telogen), which takes from 90 to 120 days. But it happens that the daily "norm" of hair loss far exceeds the permissible norm. So why does hair fall out?
Causes of Hair Loss
The simplest reason for hair loss is seasonal. As you know, in spring and autumn, hair loss intensifies for completely natural reasons. The consequences of an unbalanced diet, a lack of proteins, vitamins and minerals in the body, especially zinc and iron, which are also aggravated in the off-season, and can be caused by various diets and simply improper nutrition, are also detrimental to the condition of the hair. The weakening of the immune system, which most often happens at this time, can also lead to hair loss.
In recent years, one of the main causes of hair loss has been constant stress and other “charms” of modern life, combined with bad habits, chronic lack of sleep, depression and overwork, which adversely affect the condition of not only the hair, but the whole body in whole.
Often, hair loss can be caused by diseases of the scalp, and diseases that seemingly have nothing to do with hair condition can be to blame: diabetes, pneumonia, iron deficiency anemia, infectious diseases that lead to weakened immunity, etc. Hair loss can be the result of taking antibiotics, hormones, and some birth control pills.
However, harm to the hair can be done consciously and meaningfully. Drying with hot air, perm, hair dyeing, the use of irons, curlers, tricks, washing too often, combing too intensively, and improper selection of hair care products do not add health to hair, as you know. An important factor is also the protection of hair from the effects of natural factors: from frost in the winter, from the sun in the summer, from rain at any time of the year. It is also important to abandon too tight hats and wigs that can disrupt normal blood circulation, and, accordingly, hair nutrition, and lead to not the most pleasant consequences.
However, there are factors that we are practically unable to influence, namely, a genetic predisposition and a violation of the hormonal background of the body. And here we are talking not just about hair loss, but about real baldness. As a rule, men are exposed to it, since baldness is caused by an overabundance of male sex hormones - androgens, but women are also not immune from this. Also, the reason may lie in a violation of the thyroid gland. Many women begin to lose hair after childbirth, which, however, is a completely normal process.
You can deal with this phenomenon only with the help of special medications under the supervision of specialists, as well as more serious cosmetic procedures up to a hair transplant. Therefore, it is very important to determine the reason why hair falls out; perhaps everything is not as scary as it seems at first glance, but it could be quite the opposite.
